drupalsite (beta)

You can now map your own domain name to a drupalsite as demonstrated in my example.

As some of you have already noticed, drupalsite.org has just got PHPTAL as new theme engine, which comes with its own theme. In addition, it is now possible to create your own sub-themes as variations of existing ones. This is implemented by a new content type "Thematous theme". The module that implements this web interface to theme editing is available for download from drupal.org.

This took some time but was worth it:

• Drupal sites now have the site owner copied as administrative user. This prevents sites from staying unprotected and removes one step for the new site owners.
• New sites now have a theme again. For some reason, for some time now, the blueprint for new sites contained no default theme. This is fixed now.
• The views module is now included in new sites giving much more flexibility to site owners.

You no longer have to register an account here to create your own site. Just use your drupal.org account like e.g. ''olav@drupal.org'' to log in, and you can create a new site immediately.

I have updated the core autosite module to be able to cope with tables that have been added after its installation.

In addition, the image and textile modules are now available.
